Nihonga is an old traditional Japanese painting technique, executed on Washi (Japanese paper) with use of mineral pigments mixed with natural protein colloid as binder glue.

At this workshop you will learn the basic method of Nihonga by painting Camellia (Tsubaki) on a small Japanese Washi paper.

Make your own Nihonga, which you can take home with you as a souvenir!

日本画実習・第４弾は『椿』。日本画としてはよくモシーフとして描かれ、速水御舟も描いた椿を、鳥の子和紙を張った色紙に岩絵の具を使って描きます。これまでの『桜』や『燕子花』に続き、絵の具の溶き方や道具の使い方など学びながら、楽しく日本画を体験できます。

　経験・レベルは問いません。お気軽にご参加ください。
