夏のワークショップ最終回では、２回のワークショップに渡って日本画の基本的な全ての工程を学ぶことができます。

　前編(８月２７日)では制作前の和紙張りや、胡粉（牡蠣の貝から出来た白粉）で下地作りなど本画へ入る準備。後編（９月１０日)では予め用意した絵のテーマを和紙に写し、岩絵具や水干絵の具で着彩して作品を仕上げます。

　岩絵具は天然の岩を砕いた砂や、顔料を混ぜた粉末で膠（ゼラチン）と混ぜて使うもので、特有の輝きを放つ、日本画ならではの絵の具です。

Nihonga is an old traditional Japanese painting technique, executed on Washi (Japanese paper) with use of mineral pigments mixed with natural protein colloid as binder glue.  

At this workshop you will learn the basic method of Nihonga in 2 workshops. At the first workshop (27th Aug) you prepare your Washi paper and make the foundation with Gofun before you start to paint. On the second workshop(10th Sep) you copy your design on to the paper and paint this with mineral pigments.
