Art Workshop 扇子絵 前編(part1)

１１月２８日にAmstelveenの囲碁会館で行いました、『アートワークショップ〜扇子絵』、無事に終了！

　オランダ各地から計１０名の方々に参加いただき、短い時間でオリジナルの扇子絵にチャレンジ。モチーフ（扇子に描くテーマ）選びから始め、使いたい道具を選んで各自思い思いに個性豊かな一枚に仕上げました。部屋に飾るもよし、持運んで暑い時に仰ぐもよし、世界に一つの扇子です。

The Art Workshop ~Sensu~ at Go-Centrum in Amstelveen was a great success! Even though the participants had only three hours to make their own Sensu (a Japanese folding fan) every one enjoyed it a lot. 10 people joined this workshop. The goal was not only to make an original Sensu but also to learn how to use the material. It was really a good time and everyone made a beautiful Sensu. Thank you again for joining us!

まず会場には写真集や画集を使ってモチーフ選びから。花や子供の顔など予め自分で用意した人もいます。

The workshop started with finding a theme to paint on a Sensu. I brought some art books and samples to get some ideas. Some of the participants brought their own photos.

　机には作業の流れと簡単な扇子の歴史についてご案内も。

"The process of Today" and "History of Sensu" as an introduction.

　　　　　モチーフが決まったら扇子と同じ大きさの画用紙に下図をつくります。

Making a sketch on a paper which has the same size of the Sensu.

作品の完成を想像しながらスケッチ。

It is important to think good about a composition.

下図ができたら上からトレッシングペーパーを使って複写します。

After sketching, copy your sketch on the tracing paper.

次に複写した下絵をカーボン紙を使って扇子に転写します。また墨で描き起こします。

　　Then trace your sketch on to the Sensu by using a carbon paper or draw with Sumi-ink.

　　　　　　　細かい花びらも一本一本描いて。。。。集中。

Really focussing on the details. Like a surgeon...
